I can travel standby anywhere for free. How can I make money with this ability? I do know someone who has the same ability who travels back and forth to Japan to teach English. I also have thought of import/export, though I don't know much about it. Being an antiques scout/buyer was suggested to me. I doubt I could compete in the photoessay/travel writer category. Do you have any ideas? Thanks. No, I'm not an airline employee, and no, I'm not suggesting trying to transfer my pass. Please read my description before replying.
What jobs out there allow a person to travel and write about their travel experiences? I love the travel industry. There's certain feelings I get when traveling to a new place and I want others to feel the same way I do about visiting some place new or experiencing something totally different than what I am use to. I currently work in the travel business advertising vacation property and after seeing how beautiful the land is where some of the properties reside, I get this strong feeling of envy for the owners who get to enjoy the beauty of a vacation destination and of the land their homes rest on. How on earth can I find a job, aside from being a travel agent, or tour director, or cruise ship director, where I can travel to places I love and write about them for everyone else to experience? Im looking along the lines of maybe a travel magazine who will pay people to travel or even a website?
How do I become a legitimate travel agent? Has anyone ever been a travel agent or known a travel agent that made alot of money or that owned any kind of travel business and was successful? What company should I affiliate myself with? Any travel agents, please give me the low down. Thanks.
What is the best way to search for ground travel fares, for vacation trips? I'm considering doing ground travel to a place not too far away from here. Air travel is too expensive (especially since my trip won't be too far into the future) so I'm considering going by train or even by bus (train is preferred.) How do I go about searching for travel fare? I'm hoping there is a site similar to Priceline or Travelocity that deals with ground travel of this sort. DETAILS: I'm hoping to travel a round-trip vacation between Portland, Oregon and Calgary, Alberta (Canada, of course). I'll be travelling sometime this month. Once again, I'm looking for help with finding places to get trainfare (or anything with ground travel) be it a Priceline-similar site or anything. I just need a way to find and compare prices for travelfare. Any hints, ideas, suggestions? Any help is much appreciated!
How much does it cost to travel around South America? I'm considering traveling around S. America for around 6 months to a year and wondered how much it would roughly cost. I would be back packing and am not expecting to sleep anywhere fancy or travel in luxery but I would like to hit some major cities for nights out as well as traveling to more remote places. Also if anyone knows the anyway to pick up casual work there to earn whilst I'm traveling that would be much appreciated. I don't speak much Spanish at the moment but fully intend on learning.
How can I buy travel vouchers to give as a gift? I would like to buy travel vouchers to give as a gift. They would be for travel originating in the UK - most likely to European destinations. Ideally they could be redeamed online and could be spent on both air travel and hotels. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. I want to get the vouchers from a UK based company or website.

How much do I charge if I travel 80 miles for consulting work? Currently I am charging $100 an hour for consulting work in Orange County, CA. In a few months I will move to San Diego, CA and will have to travel about 80 miles to see clients in Orange County. Do I keep charging $100 an hour or do I increase it slightly because of travel and gas? I own my consulting company. It's just me so I don't have to report to anyone or get approval. I was mostly concerned with NEW clients who don't know my fees yet. I travel to client's homes for the consulting. I charge about the same as a consultant charges who have clients come to their home. Typo: I charge the same as a consultant who has clients come to their OFFICE. Michelle you have a great point. My work directly on-site with clients as I teach them techniques. I could add telephone calls as part of my sessions as clients progress.

Is it necessary to be with a travel agency when applying for tourist visa to Russia? I would like to travel with my friend to Russia alone, without being part of a tourist group. However, it is my understanding that there is a higher rejection for tourist visa application without an accompanying letter from a travel agency. Is this really the case? Also, because my itinerary is required for the Russian visa, does it mean that I must have purchased my plane tickets *before* the visa application? Thanks!

Will a time travel theme hurt the chances of a novel being published? I want to write a young adult science fiction novel, and I have an idea about time travel. It's somewhat different than how time travel is usually depicted in fiction. In fact, it's almost satiric of the idea. But I'm wondering if time travel is too cliche now to market? Will an editor take one look at the story, say, "not another one about time travel ..." and toss it in the rejected bin? Should I just come up with another idea, or is a time travel-themed book still marketable?
What are your thoughts on other dimensions and time travel? I myself really do not understand the concept of other dimensions too well and I'm sure many others don't either. I was watching the science channel one day and they were talking about time travel and how it's possible that there are people from the future trapped in our time, because they don't know how to get back. They also mentioned something about how you could time travel and end up in a dimension that looked exactly like the one you are from, but it isn't. The idea that there actually is a future world going on at the same time as our own world is mind boggling. All of the people interviewed were respected scientists, so they obviously knew what they were talking about. What are your thoughts on time travel and other dimensions?

The only problem is I can't find anyone among my friends at home who will commit to going with me. They either can't find the time or don't have the money to go. When performing freelance work that requires travel to other states, where do you pay taxes? For example, I claim residency in Florida but have many clients in Atlanta. I travel there for work sometimes but I do not necessarily complete the projects while in the city. Do I pay taxes to Georgia only for the work I complete in Georgia, or not pay taxes to Georgia at all since I claim residency in FL, or pay taxes to Georgia for all of the project since the client is located in GA? Thanks.
How much money (£) would I need to travel around India for 2 months? I am planning to travel around India for 2 months in September. I would be going with my boyfriend so we would be sharing a room. It would be nice to do it quite cheaply, but probably not staying in hostels all the time, but apparently b&b type accomodation is quite cheap. We are not extravagant but wouldn't be too frugal either. The price would include accomodation, meals, sightseeing, travel within the country, but not flights to India (which is approx £500). Any advice from people who have travelled round India would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What does time travel reveal about the nature of time? I ask this question with the assumption that understanding of time can be informed by understanding of time travel, not only understanding of time travel can be informed by understanding of time. When answering this question, keep in mind that only actual conscious time travelers are experts in time travel enough to understand the limitations of time travel, for to understand the limitations of something first you have to understand what it actually is. Thus, claims about the impossibility or near impossibility of time travel are dogmatic, assume that time is already understood enough to cancel out time travel, and assume that understanding of time travel cannot inform understanding of time, and rightfully such claims should be ignored by rational minds. If we are to be rational instead of dogmatic in our views about time travel, we should exercise our imagination to consider and investigate the various ways of traveling long distances in time. Given that time is non-linear (which means that although time has linear aspects it is not entirely linear), the claim that we cannot travel backward in time is meaningless. What we are consciously experiencing right now is what our brains sensorily input some time ago; underwent transduction processes, got put into perceptual interpretive frameworks, and arose into our current phenomenal field of view. Because of cognitive processing time lags, we are consciously aware of our past moments, but never of our actual present. As well, the sensory information that our brains are inputting at this very moment will form our future conscious perceivings. Thus, in our present we are cognitively in the past and in the future. Such aspects of our cognitive processing reveal that we are multi-situated across time, and in various ways we already are time travelers, and the brain is a time traveling organ. We clearly are neither fully consciously aware of the brain's time traveling functions nor of how to optimize their usage to our benefit. We could consider their implications for the actual nature of time, and investigate their enhancement to ourselves become more conscious time travelers. Open-minded answers welcome! Chris B: Your answer is useful from a physics perspective but would benefit much from interdisciplinary understanding (for example, the neuropsychology of consciousness). Your answer is informative, except for the part where you overstate the similarities between the human brain and a computer network. Understand this: a brain is conscious; a computer apparently is not. As well, the brain is more efficient at processing and storing information than any computer today. You compare the information processing in a computer network and human cognitive processing, and claim that their time lags have similar nature. Are you assuming that time is linear when you think of the meaning of a time lag? Consider this: what is a *time* lag, if time is non-linear?
Twelve people travel in 4 cars with a driver and two passengers in each car.? NO passenger travels in the same car for both outward and return journey. How many different allocations of passengers to cars exist for the return journey if: a) the passengers who travel together on the outward journey travel together on the return journey? b) the passengers who travel together on the outward journey might or might not travel together on the return journey? c) the two passenger who travelled together in one particular car on the outward journey decided no to travel together on the return journey? A DISCRETE MATHEMATICS - COMBINATIONS QUESTION: passenger travels in the same car for both outward and return journey.
Help! Traveling internationally (with layover) in a country that has a U.N. travel warning? I'm traveling to Uganda (Africa) from Boston, MA to volunteer on a medical mission for two weeks. 1.) I am not religious or crazy. I am also a Caucasian American (no offense to any of this), this is just something I need to do as a person. 2.) Kenya (Africa) has a travel warning: My flight plan goes from Boston, MA ---> Amsterdam, Netherlands ---> Niarobi, Kenya ---> Entebbe, Uganda. Question is: Will it be safe to have a layover in Kenya? It's only for two hours and I'm not the type to look for trouble. I know that a single traveler can get mugged anywhere but is this something I need to be concerned about? Is there militia going to see me and want to kill me right off the bat. I am lost on this. Or will I just be safe in the airport? heres the travel warning: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_923.html Thank you Charlie!
Time travel? Suppose for a moment that we found a way to time travel. I have a theory on how it would work. The mechanics. I would like everyone here to discuss the idea that time and space are relative but not the same. Most modern ideas about time travel insinuate that to travel back in TIME is to travel back and see different things happen in that SPACE. To travel back to 1931, you would suddenly be in the midst of World War II. But I have a theory of time and space being related but not so closely. More like 2 parts to a machine, the physical part (space) and the incorporeal, more theoretical part (time). The way I see it, to travel back in time does not mean that objects in that space will reverse age or that suddenly things from the past will show up in that space. I feel that time is more of a reference point in the universe that has no affect on what is in that space. I compare it to a pointer in programming. Doesn't matter where the pointer is, just matters what it's pointing to. To: Waitingxxx This isn't a question, but a discussion moreso. I would like people to discuss this theory of (as Canadaguy pointed out) time being intangible. That time travel is a misconception and really is almost fruitless in the sense that you cannot alter past events and that being in a previous time slot does not change a thing about the physical realm Very interesting. I still believe though that you cannot move back in time in the sense that you can travel back to a past event, but rather you would be shifting the infinite time line of the universe, which in essence does nothing but change your current state of time. Thank you VERY much for that link, I'm very interested in seeing physical experiments in which time has been isolated. But I truly believe that time cannot be isolated because it is joined to space, so to isolate the time you would need destroy the space, which suddenly makes it completely intangible and non-existent except in theory. And time travel isn't a fantasy. It's a misconception. You are thinking of time travel in the wrong context. You are thinking it can do things that you can't. Also, moving forward in time isn't a problem. You aren't really jumping ahead of anyone when you move forward faster in time, you are merely experiencing the time elapsed differently. Like when you fall asleep and wake up 10 seconds later and it's morning already. You didn't just jump ahead of everyone, you merely experienced it differently than someone that stayed up all night. Err, I didn't realize my typo with World War II. I meant 1941 >.< Many of you people don't understand the concept I have proposed and I truly believe you didn't even read the concept. Like the very last response I just got, "Time travel is a man made blah blah blah" That is the MISCONCEPTION I was talking about. You're thinking of time travel as a means of actually going somewhere or doing something. But what I'm saying is that all it is is a shift in perception. Like moving an infinite line back 2 feet. What does that matter? You didn't go anywhere. That is the concept.
Travel agent that steals commission from travel agency? I work at an adventure activity company. Many travel agencies book their customers with us. We have one travel agent, when she's in the area she books usually 8-20 customers with us. Other travel agents then let their travel agency know, and a voucher is printed. But this travel agent knows if she doesn't notify her travel company, she can keep the 20% commission dishonestly. This has added up to a huge amount, and after her customers have done the activity, my boss hands this woman a check for several hundred, sometimes more than a thousand, dollars. She's made I'd say at least $6000 this summer doing that. It makes me and my coworkers so mad, we barely clear $1000 month working full time. I'd like to turn this travel agent in. I guess my boss hasn't turned her in, cuz it's all the same to my boss, the company gets the customers. Do you think I should anonymously contact this dishonest travel agents company and report her? She's probably doing same thing with other vendors
Travel section or Corporate section? If you have an offer in Sales & Marketing in Hotel, what section you want to work in? Sales incharge of travel section or corporate section? The different between this 2 section is:- 1) Travel side - need to travel a lot for travel fair in others country, you main purpose is to maintain a good relationship with travel agent only. 2) Corporate side - work based in your own country only, meet up with corporate client. Thanks..
I want to travel for campaign, how do I get reimbursed? Travel Expenses Personal Campaign Travel - Exemption to Contribution Limit When traveling on behalf of a candidate, an individual may incur up to $1,000 in transportation expenses per election, without such expenses constituting an contribution to the campaign. “Traveling on behalf of a candidate” includes trips taken at the request of or in coordination with the campaign, including appearing as a surrogate for the campaign, working at a campaign office or participating in campaign activities. The Personal Travel Exemption is only for transportation and does not apply to subsistence expenses. Individuals may pay for their own food and lodging while traveling on behalf of a candidate, and these payments do not count as a contribution to the campaign. The $1,000 per person, per election Personal Travel This is all I could find on it, I just want to know what I have to do to get it, is it something I can get going? To use on the trip? Or something I have to tax write off?
How do I find a travel agent to assist me in my online business? My wife and I will be launching an online business very soon to take advantage of the growth in the trend of home-based travel agents. However, I need someone with travel agent experience to help with training and support of new travel agents. When I search online for "hire a travel agent" there are plenty of travel agents who sell travel products and services. But I cannot find any that want employment (I can do this for most other occupations...like "hire an accountant"). The travel agent I hire simply needs to have a desire to help people. They would simply answer questions from new travel agents about the best way to book travel. They do not need to relocate (they can work from home) or quit their job. How do I find a person who meets this description?
Travel agents - circa 1990 - How did it work? Were you a travel agent around 1990? I'm hoping to understand the US travel agency business in 1990. Specifically: - When you used a service like SABRE or APOLLO to book a ticket where did the money go? Customer pays Travel Agent for Ticket and when does Travel Agent pay Airline? Does Travel Agent actually pay Airline or does Travel Agent pay SABRE or APOLLO? - When did the Travel Agent collect commission? Did Airline/SABRE reimburse the commission or did Travel Agent withhold the commission? - I presume that there were fees for having a SABRE or APOLLO machine, correct? - How about the Airlines, what was their relationship with SABRE or APOLLO? What sort of fees did they pay? To whom? I am trying to understand the cash flows and contractual relationships between: - customer (passenger) - travel agency - Reservation system (SABRE/APOLLO etc...) - Airline Thanks so much! JH

Traveling, Passport, travel documents and returning to USA? My girlfriend is a citizen of a Middle Eastern country but a legal resident (Green Card Holder) in the U.S.A and wants to travel to Germany to visit her parents. She is not a U.S. citizen yet and her passport from her country of citizenship has expired. Are there any other options for her to travel besides trying to renew her passport from her country of origin? She is not here on Political Assylum or refugee status. I was doing some research on a U.S. travel document but I'm not sure if this would apply to her.

2.) Kenya (Africa) has a travel warning: (This Travel Warning also reminds American citizens that the U.S. Department of State has authorized non-emergency personnel and family members to depart from Kisumu and Kericho to Nairobi. We urge American citizens to defer all travel to Rift Valley, Western, and Nyanza Provinces.) My flight plan goes from Boston, MA ---> Amsterdam, Netherlands ---> Niarobi, Kenya ---> Entebbe, Uganda. Question is: Will it be safe to have a layover in Kenya? It's only for two hours and I'm not the type to look for trouble. I know that a single traveler can get mugged anywhere but is this something I need to be concerned about? Is there militia going to see me and want to kill me right off the bat. I am lost on this. http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_923.html Its also very hard to change my flight as to not go through Kenya I have to give the airlines $2,500 USD. I know I cant put a price on my life but I was just wondering if theres is nothing I should worry about being in the airport.
Time travel? i was just thinking about time travel. i was looking on a web page explaining the possibilty of time travel. it said that since it is possible to travel through space... if we were able to traval faster than the speed of light we would be traveling through time, cuz ur moving faster than light... following me so far? so i was thinking... if we were able to reverse in a space ship at the speeds faster than the speed of light... would it be possible to travel back in time? what is your opinion on this topic? here is the web page: http://www.crystalinks.com/timetravel.html would anyone care to help me develop a theory, make blue prints, or even build one if we were able to?
Does everyone travel in time at different rates? From past videos I've seen and things I have read, if you travel near the speed of time while be slower for you, thus taking you into the future. The longer you travel at this speed, the more you travel into the future. If this is true, doesn't that mean that all of us are traveling an extremely minuscule amount into the future, vary by the amount of distance we travel and how fast? I heard that if this theory is correct, than the man longest in space in the world has traveled 1/50 of a second into the future, the most anyone ever has. Slowing time for you = Traveling into the future (by this theory)

time travel part 2? There is a paradox in the whole time travel situation, if indeed it will be possible to travel back in time in the future, wouldn't we know it? By now wouldn't someone have came back in time to inform the past that there will be time machines in the future? If in fact there will be time travel in the future then what would stop some one from going back to say the birth of our nation, giving our founding fathers all kinds of up to date history books and technology and making America the only country in the world, there would also be a butterfly effect in time, because every action that the founding fathers would do to change the future would cause a new version of the same history book that the time travelers brought back, untill inevitably the book would say, "America wins all, end of story", or they would screw up the future so bad that there would be no time travel and the meeting would never take place. If there was time travel into the past and delicate information was obtained from the time traveler, then if the recipient of thus said delicate information acted upon this information in a way that changed the time travelers history to where time travel was not invented, then the recipient would not know of it and the meeting would have never happened. In theory, if time travel is created in the distant future, and lets say that the creator's great, great, great, great grandfather was killed in the towers on 9/11. Now if the first thing that the creator wanted to do is right this wrong and stop the twin towers from being hit, then most likely he would go back in time to eliminate the terrorist before they could attack, most likely he would kill them while they were children since children are less able to protect themselves from danger or death. Well, what if the creator did not take into consideration that upon 9/11 his great, great, great, great grandfather's son was upset about the death of his father and joined the military to avenge his father, and while in the middle east he met a woman, who unknown to him was a daughter of one of the terrorist, and he had relations with her and they brought forth a son from this that would become the creator's great, great grandfather. That means that if he went back in time to right the wrong, his great, great, great, great grandfather would not have died, his great, great, great grandfather would not have gone to war, met the woman, who does not exist now, since her father died as a kid, and brought forth his son, who is the creator's great, great grandfather, meaning that now the creator does not exist. Wow, so not only did 9/11 not happen now, but time travel will not happen either.
Travel Booking Agents how are you holding on to your jobs? Everyone is into booking Travel Online these days, Travel Agent stores are becoming a thing of the 90s many of them like me are out of a job. I ended up getting in on the Travel trend, I also hear that even Donald Trump has a Travel booking engine. If there are any Travel Agents left tell me how are you able to hold on to your job? Because I just could not do it. I know Travel is a 7 Trillion Dollar Industry worldwide and there is money to be made, but my old agency was making all the money and paying us close to nothing. Now I own a booking engine and book travel on the internet 24/7 and get paid to teach others how too.

Travel passes for Italy? I am planning to visit Italy as a tourist. My plan includes staying in Rome. Then travelling to Pisa and then finally travel to Venice from Pisa. As you can understand this would involve a lot of travel within the cities (by either bus or Metro) and also intercity travels, preferrably by Trains. Can you please suggest if there is any all inclusive travel pass that i can use for this purpose. I am aware of a Euro rail pass, but that is not the kind of thing i am looking for. I need one combined pass that would enable me to trabvel both within city as well as intercity. I have travelled in Switzerland and have used a pass like this. It is normally valid for 4 days and enables you to travel all kinds of transport. There is also a discount in special transport tickets in site seeing location. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
I have questions about becoming a travel nurse for a paper at school.? I am a BSN student and I am doing a group project about travel nursing. 1. What are the pros of taking a travel nurse assignment? 2. What are the cons of taking a travel nurse assignment? 3. How do I get licensed for a travel assignment in different states to practice? 4. What specialty is in the highest demand? 5. Will I have any opportunity to learn any new skills? 6. Are newly licensed nurses allowed to take travel assignments? 7. If you were a travel nurse what incentives would you be looking for? 8. Can I get an overseas assignment if I have not taken the NCLEX? 9. What length of time would you consider reasonable for a travel nurse assignment? 10. How do you think a travel nurse assignment affects families?

Travel sickness symptoms? Since I was young I have always had travel sickness symptoms. I am unable to travel any long distance without my medication. But recently I started to have head ache with that medication that I have been taking for so long. Then I had to be off it but I can't travel without medication. Next week, my boyfriend is going abroad and I am unable to accompany him because of my travel sickness. I came through a natural medicine called "can travel" on http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s33786-s-CAN-TRAVEL.aspx. Does it have any hard side effects?? It is not mention here.

Physics question re: time travel/teleportation? Assuming that people are someday able to both (1) manipulate and travel through wormholes and (2) "teleport" by exploiting the effects of quantum entanglement (admittedly both pretty ambitious--and optimistic--assumptions.) By all accounts, if they are physically possible on a macro scale, manipulating space and travelling through wormholes would allow time travel. Q: if you were able to "replicate" a person or macroscopic object in a far distant place via quantum entanglement (like they've already done with subatomic particles in the lab), would this create the same time-travel potential because it's essentially faster than light travel? Or is it of a different character because you're not bending/manipulating spacetime in any way? My very limited understanding leads me to guess that the latter "teleportation" would not allow time travel, and that all events at different points teleported to would enjoy the same inertial reference frame. Detail if possible why i'm right/wrong? I recognize no matter is being teleported, hence the quotes around "teleportation." My point was not to inquire as to how this is going to work once we figure it out, because I understand that both applications are generally considered unworkable in nature. The point was to clarify my understanding of the nature of spacetime with a thought experiment that contrasts two different hypothetical methods of faster than light travel. The fact that it's probably physically impossible doesn't make it nonsense. But thanks for your response, anyway.
Any travel agents in Australia? I live in Brisbane, Australia, and am interested in becoming a travel agent. There are two options for courses that I can do: a) for a certificate III in Tourism, and b) Diploma of Tourism. Which one would I be better off taking? Could I still get a decent job if I just get the cert III? Also, what exactly is involved in being a travel agent? Is the pay good, is the work exciting, are you happy with your job? Do you get to travel a lot? If I wanted to advance higher in my career, is there room for advancement in the travel industry?
Travel to Proxima Centauri? Proxima Centauri, is about 4.3 light years from Earth. Suppose a space craft left Earth's atmosphere and traveled to the Moon at a speed of 40, 000 Kilometers per hour (7 miles per second) on the Saturn V booster, the most powerful rocket ever launched-before or since. a. Assuming they kept that speed, how long would it have taken them to reach Proxima Centauri? (Ignore the effects of relativity, which will slow the passage of time.) b. Would it help to travel twice as fast? Five times as fast? c. Based on your answers what is the feasibility of intersteller travel?
Travel expense? I've travelled several times overseas last year for pleasure initially but then also had to work full-time for my employeer. Can I count that as a travel expense or partially in the tax return? Most of my work related travel is reimbursed by company except for this since it was 50-50 (personal & business work) thanks

Travel times in Wales and Ireland? I am travelling to the UK later this year and was wondering if anyone could help me with some travel times/distances. I will have a hire car and would be interested in knowing all (or any) of the following travel times. Rosslare Harbour to - Lampeter - Carmarthen - Llandovery - Brecon Also from Chester to those four places. Once we arrive in Fishguard we are then wondering where to stay once we get off the Ferry. The ferry arrives at about 5pm and we would love to get as far as Cork that night but we aren't sure about if that is an achievable distance. Would Waterford be a better option. Thanks heaps for your time.
